Situation: Maurice is one year out of school and needs that signature piece that will showcase his talent and creativity, make his peers gasp, and women swoon.
Old Way: Maurice specifies his job and gets quotes from three printers. Maurice awards the job and sends his files to the printer. Now the printer gasps – “Maurice, we have a problem – gutter jumps galore, embossing – please sign this $8,000 change order.” Maurice’s peers are not impressed as he cleans out his desk – and he does not have the portfolio piece to secure that next job.
