Situation: Jack has landed a complete corporate ID redesign for a Fortune 200 Company. Jack needs to put together a new look, a corporate ID standards book, and three new pieces of collateral for the board meeting next month. Jack needs to spend his time on design, not on press.
Old Way: Jack creates a spec book and sends it to press. He has the printer run all possible combinations of colors and stocks. For a while he lives in the customer lounge doing press okays. Jack spends the next month working 20 hours a day. Jack’s blood caffeine levels are causing his heart to flutter.
Page Way: Jack sends his files to Page electronically. Page generates electronic halftone proofs with metallics and any PMS color on all specified stocks. Jack wakes up in the morning from his good night’s sleep and finds his spec book complete, waiting for him at the office.
